Haiti

Hi! First, I just want to thank you so much for taking the time to visit my site and read about what is going on in my “little world”. If you’ve read my blog at all, you will know that I have a huge heart for Haiti.

I’ve always been a missions girl. Traveling is my thing and foreign countries are my heart. There’s something about other languages and the brokenness of another country that just draws me. My first missions trip was in 3rd grade to Mexico, and since then I’ve been to MANY different countries. This past summer I had the opportunity of a lifetime to go to Haiti. To be honest, I had NO idea what to expect. All I knew about Haiti was what most people know: earthquake. I knew that it was going to be an awesome trip and I knew I would have amazing opportunities to serve, but what I didn’t know is that my life would be radically changed forever.

Through a few small missions trips over there, I quickly fell in love with this country. The food, the culture, the people, everything. I love it. I love the long skirts and v-necks. I love the hot weather and cold showers. I love no more iPhones and super shaky internet connection. Seriously, I could talk about it all day.

I am truly humbled and blown away that I am able to say there are long-term plans with me being in this country. Starting with a trip this June for a couple of weeks, and then again this August more long-term. In August, I will be partnering with a dear friend of mine to minister directly to Haitians in a community setting, as well as homeschooling her 5 year old daughter.

While I cannot share a lot of information publicly yet, I can say that if you feel led, I need your support. I am so incredibly blessed by the people God has placed in my life and the support they bring to me. If you have questions or want to know more about my long-term plans, please do not hesitate at all to email me. I would love to share what God is doing with you.

If you feel led to support me, there are a few ways you can do that…

1. Buy something from my store. I am selling headbands, ponytail holders, t-shirts and more to raise money. Head over here to check out my store.

3. Book a mini-session. For $200, you will get a 35 minute session along with 20 digital files from your session.

4. Book an Altogether Lovely session directly towards my trips. Contact me to book an Altogether Lovely session ($375) and have the funds go 100% toward my trips.

5.Donate directly. If you do feel led to give directly towards my Haiti funds, please do so through PayPal here.

More than anything, I would appreciate your support through prayer. To keep up with my crazy life and involvement in Haiti, keep checking back on my blog.

KD Lake - Hey Elizabeth,
A friend of mine Jhuntphotography (Jessica) knows my heart for Haiti and she told me about you! You and your missions are amazing…When i read this I totally understand it all. Ive went to Haiti last year and fell in love and will be going back in June. My passion is to be there longer than just a week or two. I go with an amazing group called Mission of Hope: Haiti(check them out at MOHhaiti.org…they will bless your soul!!!)…but unfortunately I cannot serve for over 2 weeks unless I am an intern (which is hard to do). ANYHOW…I love to see someone else’s passion for Haiti…i <3 that place so much. I would like to sow into your ministry when I am able to as God has/will bless me in raising money I want to give back so I will reap a great harvest and help another :) Keep up your amazing work/goals/passion and you will certainly be blesse :D

God bless,
KD
